Founders

Alessandro and Manu started their careers in chip design roles at Analog Devices Inc, Imagination, and Apical Imaging. The advent of AI and its compute complexity motivated them to go back to academics. Their collaboration began in 2016 at the renown Institute of Neuroinformatics (University of Zürich and ETH Zürich) where they worked on various aspects of energy-efficient computation. Their work led to the founding of Synthara in 2019 whose mission is to develop computational systems to meet the diverse and complex compute demands of emerging applications in IoT, wearables, XR, automotive and more.
